Left Of Centre, formerly "The Mudpuppies," was originally formed in Southern California in March, 1991. They
soon became one of the regions most popular bands and have earned several awards, such as GMC/True
Value Showdown, CMA Male Vocalist of the Year, CMA Entertainer of the Year, and the San Diego Music
Award 1993 & 1994.
In late 1994, the band moved to Nashville, TN to pursue a full-time music career, and spent the next
three years touring coast to coast playing fairs, festivals, casinos, and clubs opening shows for many
headline acts along the way.
In 1997 they moved back to Southern California, with a new band and new sound. The group toured
extensively for the next four years playing many of the nations top clubs and special events such as
Sturgis Biker Rally, Laughlin River Run, Spring Break Ft. Lauderdale, FL just to name a few.
In 2001, The Mud Puppies officially changed their name to Left Of Centre, and relocated to Reno, NV,
where they regularly play the areas top venues like the Brew Brothers (voted Americas # 1 brew pub),
Reno Hilton, and the Hard Rock Cafe (Lake Tahoe). L.O.C. still travels to do
opening acts, corporate functions, fairs, and some casinos but is trying
to stay in Reno to focus on their current CD.
Left Of Centre has played corporate shows for Microsoft, Motorola, Nissan, Toyota, Pontiac, P&H Minepro,
Southwest Airlines, and is proud to be sponsored by Coors Light. This band has gained rapid recognition
as a professional high energy group with a natural instinct for playing the crowds. With a lineup of
seasoned musicians - Frank, Dennis, Daren, and Jerry - the group is complete and is guaranteed to leave a
lasting impression.
The most common complement Left Of Centre receives is how well they cover all styles of music and how
strong their connection is with the crowds.
